Mother Earth, until August 31st, has Woodstock Farms easy spread (smooth) organic peanut butter on sale for $2 for an 18 oz jar. Ingredients: organic peanuts. That is a very good price. They don't keep many on the shelf at one time, so if you want to stock up you should call and order a case in time for them to get it in before the sale is over. It's listed as buy-one-get-one for $4, but you can buy just one and it'll ring up at $2. I don't think a case discount applies, and I know the thursday 10% off day doesn't apply to this sale price, but if you get 18 jars (or other things when you go in) you might be able to use THIS $5 off $35 coupon.
Local organic pears deal:
Ashley will be bringing pears from her tree to be given away. She says, "They're fine for baking and canning, just ugly." So those will be here for the taking.
Okay, on to the "what's coming in this order" report. Actually, here's what's being ordered. Sometimes they call on Sunday to tell me something was out of stock or will be delayed, so this is sort of a "what is PROBABLY coming Monday" list.
ORDERED
apples
avocados
bananas
raspberries
watermelons
nectarines
plums
broccoli
rainbow chard
salad mix
kale
roma tomatoes
ground chuck
bacon
sirloin steaks
stringles
orange juice
salsa (mild and medium)
hummus
NOT COMING
strawberries (they are going to remain expensive until February, I suppose)
zucchini
lettuce (darn it. that lettuce always eludes us. Naomi S and Laura-Lan, we 3 are the only ones who tend to order. it We may each have to get 4 heads to make this happen for us. If you want to do that, I still have til Sunday morning to order it. But that's a lot of lettuce.)
red bell peppers
pears (they were SO good, but the case is huge. 50 pears is too many just for us!)
onions
EXTRAS I went with a lot of extras this week. It always makes me nervous, but it seems they usually get taken, so I tended to order the case even if we were pretty short. If you want to claim any of these, email me or comment here so I can fill requests in order.
