Buying Club Updates

Starting this week, eggs will be $3.50 a dozen instead of $3.  Our egg suppliers are close to breaking even with their $3 price, hopefully this will help them stay ahead but still keep our price lower than markets/stores.  Keep the egg cartons coming.  Camille could also use 8-16 oz plastic containers (like our salsa or sour cream containers) for packaging chevre.  Bring those if you have them.

LOCAL CHICKEN AND BEEF!

And I got my latest beef order.  It's not huge.  At the moment I have 6 roasts, most are all around 5-6# (last time we had some 9-pounders!)  Mostly chuck, but a couple of shoulder.  About 4 small packages of liver, presliced, and about 30 2# packages of ground.

Zucchini: we've gotten zukes in the past that were a pound each, so a "1 lb share" might mean one big zucchini.  I may have to adjust the price to reflect the size or weigh them out, but they'll be the same price per pound as what's listed.

Sweet potatoes: I'm hoping for white sweet potatoes soon, but they still aren't on the list.  We have really great-priced orange sweet potatoes this week.

Note the higher banana price.  It really jumped, and I do hope it's just temporary.  A lot of the fruit prices jumped a bit.

Coleman organic chicken italian sausage.  Don't really know anything about it, but Albert's just added Coleman products, and it's a meat that we don't have to PREorder, so let's give it a try.  HERE is all the information on it.

Another raw almond order.  The price has gone up a little since we ordered last fall, both the almonds and shipping.
Walnuts in a couple of weeks?  (they ship separately anyway, so we don't have to order them together)

It's a milk/cheese ordering week, so order milk and cheese if you do that.
And it's a Hagan egg week, which means we should have plenty of eggs.

We have turkey thighs on the form again, as well as the little hams.  They were both very, very good.  And Norm's whole chickens.  Give me some feedback on other meat for later weeks.  Whole turkey breasts?  Turkey cutlets?  (that's the breasts that have been pre-sliced) Chicken drumsticks?  What do we need?
